I Can't Stay At Home I'm A First Responder shirt



On the 28th of November 2004 while conducting a survey at DR.Congo, we parked the car after contacting the local authorities and obtaining their approval to conduct the operation. Suddenly, two unidentified men with guns appeared and started shouting at us, asking who we were and who told us that there were mines in the area. They added we were suspicious and eventually they imposed us, they had to check all the cars including ambulance and other items. One of them asked us what we had in an ambulance. I explained that we are humanitarian workers and medical personnel, we only have medical equipment on board. He then asked how long would I last in the area? I answered we worked hourly 8.
